Connecting conversations and preserving value across the main venue and 9 breakout venues
Parallel sessions, specialized topics, and participants with different language backgrounds place real demands on conference services. MinuteX Conference will focus on translation and minutes, helping participants understand discussions across languages while documenting key views, project needs, and potential partnerships.
- Translation during meetings: helping guests communicate across languages and understand each other’s views and needs.
- Meeting minutes: organizing discussions and key agreements for later review, team updates, and follow-up conversations.
- Support across venues: delivering translation and minutes in line with the schedules of the main venue and 9 breakout venues.
From everyday meetings to international conferences, Dimension Gate aims to make AI useful in each conversation, giving participants more time to focus on understanding, discussion, and cooperation.
A major meeting place for the world’s urban decision makers
Tomorrow.City Shanghai is a key Asia-Pacific event of Smart City Expo World Congress. Organized jointly by Fira de Barcelona and Smart City Expo World Congress, this year’s event emphasizes cooperation across borders and respect for differences, bringing China’s digital practices together with the development needs of cities worldwide.
According to Jiemian’s pre-event report, the conference is expected to bring together more than 130 delegations and over 500 government and business decision makers from 40 countries and regions. This international gathering offers participants direct insight into cities’ governance challenges, development needs, and priorities for cooperation.
Report on this year’s conference and highlights
The September 8 agenda lists Smart City Expo World Congress CEO Ugo Valenti, Malaysia’s Minister of Housing and Local Government Nga Kor Ming, and guests from Indonesia, Oman, Brazil, Argentina, and European city organizations for the opening and related forums. The Pudong digital governance forum also includes discussions involving Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians Wu Hequan and Wu Zhiqiang, bringing international perspectives, urban governance experience, and Chinese innovation into conversation.
From real needs to practical cooperation
TCS also stands out for connecting international exchange with specific projects. The three-day agenda spans enabling technologies, mobility, energy and the environment, and public services. Topics range from urban governance powered by large models and agents to energy storage, smart water systems, autonomous driving, and digital infrastructure, all grounded in how cities are built and operated.
At City Show, international city representatives will present challenges and opportunities. Closed-door project meetings, the Tomorrow.City marketplace, and workshops will connect project owners with solution teams. For Chinese technology companies entering international markets, these sessions offer opportunities to understand real needs, meet local partners, and discuss pilot projects.
The event will also host the Belt and Road edition of the World Smart City Awards ceremony, highlighting urban innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation. With emerging ideas, city case studies, project needs, and direct exchanges, the conference offers compelling reasons to take part in person.
Three days of discussions to look out for
- September 22: opening ceremony, the Pudong digital governance forum, international city challenges and opportunities, and government-business and project meetings.
- September 23: international roundtables on energy, the environment, and mobility, covering new power systems, circular resource use, low-altitude aviation, autonomous driving, and smart roads, followed by the Belt and Road World Smart City Awards ceremony.
- September 24: international roundtables on enabling technologies, exploring the city’s brain and the journey from blueprint to pilot, with practical discussions of large models, agents, and digital transformation in key urban settings.
These highlights are based on the September 8 agenda. Speakers and schedules are subject to the organizer’s final announcements. Closed-door meetings and selected activities require an invitation or the appropriate pass.
